According to the most recent estimates, 389 million people live on less than $1 a day in Sub-Saharan Africa. A vast majority live in rural areas, where healthcare facilities are unequipped and lack the most basic equipment and supplies to successfully manage cases. There are no beds – patients lie on floors, doctors wash, patch and reuse gloves or use plastic bags as protection from diseases like HIV/AIDS. Life-saving operations are cancelled or postponed because of shortage of the vital supplies needed for surgeries.
Please donate today and help us provide urgently needed examination gloves, nasogastric tubes, urinary catheters, gauze pads, bandages, sheets, drip giving sets, intravenous fluids, cotton wool, sutures and other critical medical supplies and equipment.
